The Heaton Brand of valves were originally manufactured by Hattersley Heaton at Nottingham in England. In 1996 the UK factory closed.
Since that time the Heaton range of valves has been manufactured for MRC Transmark at manufacturing facilities in China using the latest manufacturing techniques available. Heaton Brand valves remain manufactured to the API and ASME range of standards with the pressure and temperature ranges defined within ANSI B16.34. Heaton Valves Africa is the exclusive Southern African distributor for MRC Transmark and has performed independent audits at the facilities utilized in the production of Heaton brand valves for the South African market.
The Heaton range of gate, globe, check and ball valves are produced to meet the demanding needs and high specification requirements of the oil, petrochemical and chemical markets. MRC Transmark is the licensor, ensuring a high standard of manufacturing and Quality Assurance.
The valves are certified at Heaton House, Bradford UK and exclusively stocked by their distributors, Heaton Valves Africa, in South Africa. Sizes range from 50mm to 900mm in flanged and butt-weld ends and cover a wide range of materials and pressure classes.
The Heaton Brand valves that are currently supplied by HVA are manufactured in accordance with the European Directive 97/23/EC and pressure equipment directives. They can also be supplied to meet emission requirements of less than 100ppm.
